Choose With Confidence, Here in Singapore
At NekoTown, you can meet your British Shorthair before choosing, ask about its breeder and health checks, and find out what food and litter it already uses. For first-time cat parents, we explain the preparations for bringing a kitten home and stay available for questions afterwards.
Toufu and Lulu’s customer photos below give you something a kitten portrait alone cannot: a look at how the face and coat you first fall in love with develop as the cat grows.
Toufu: From a Small Round Face to Fuller Cheeks
Shared by Toufu’s family, these early and later photographs show a broader face and more developed muzzle as Toufu grows.
The Same Sweet Expression, With More Fullness
As a kitten, Toufu has round eyes, a small white muzzle and a softly rounded face. In the later photograph, the cheeks have filled out on both sides and the lower face is noticeably broader. The pads beside the nose are fuller, giving the mouth area the rounded, substantial shape associated with British Shorthairs.
The round eyes remain a defining feature, now framed by more cheek rather than dominating a small kitten face. The ears also look more in proportion to the broader head. Toufu’s later photo shows a fuller outline across the shoulders and back, covered in short, plush fur. The familiar pink nose and white muzzle, chest and paws make Toufu easy to recognise through the change.

Lulu: Fuller Cheeks and Bright Copper Eyes
An early group photograph and a later portrait, shared by Lulu’s family.
Growing Into That Rounded British Shorthair Face
The early photographs show the round eyes and white muzzle of a small kitten, with the ears standing out above a narrower face. In Lulu’s later portrait, the cheek line is fuller, the chin area looks more substantial, and the white pads on either side of the nose are more pronounced. Together, they give the lower face a broader, rounder shape.
Lulu’s copper-orange eyes stand out against the blue-and-white face. The round eye shape and white centre of the face remain recognisable, while fuller cheeks give the expression more of the characteristic British Shorthair look. The later photograph also shows a broad chest and an even, plush short-coat outline around the neck and shoulders.
British Shorthair Features That Develop With Age
A round head, full cheeks, large round eyes, a well-developed muzzle and a sturdy body with a dense short coat are central to the British Shorthair breed standard. Toufu and Lulu’s photographs show several of those features becoming more pronounced as their faces fill out.
British Shorthairs mature gradually. The CFA standard describes full development as taking three to five years, so the appearance of a young cat is still part of an unfolding picture.
How We Choose Our British Shorthair Breeders
Our selection starts with the breeder, the parent cats and the home where the kittens grow up. We review breeder registration, pedigrees and available parent health reports, alongside photographs and videos of the cats and their living environment.
We then follow the individual kitten’s development and care before recommending it to a family. When you are considering a British Shorthair, we explain its breeder and parent background, health preparation and current routine, so you know more about the kitten you are bringing home.
A Consistent Standard of British Shorthair Quality
Toufu and Lulu are part of a wider NekoTown family. These British Shorthairs have also found their homes. Their photographs show the rounded faces, full muzzles and plush coats we continue to look for when selecting our kittens.

Health Checks and a Familiar Start at Home
Before handover, your kitten receives a veterinary examination, with vaccinations and parasite treatment recorded alongside its microchip details. We take you through these documents, pedigree or registration information and the available parent health reports.
You also leave knowing what your kitten eats, which litter it uses and the routine it is familiar with. The starter kit includes food, litter essentials, bowls, a toy, a bed and grooming tools, helping you continue that care from the first day at home.
